The road of joy and hurt

In life we walk across different paths of all sorts: some wide; others narrow, some short others long, some secure and others insecure.
In this very walk of life at some point we encounter people and activities that leave either tattoos or scars upon our hearts. The tattoos are good times, and scars are memories no one  would like to remember at any advanced point in life.

In my life, my personal life, I have had days that bring me joy on remembering. Tattooed at the back of my mind. These memories give me a reason to keep on and strength to face another day, a new dawn, in a new way.

Then on the other hand are these other times, the scars that bring me hurt on memory. They make me want to turn back time and undo my deeds. I wished I could somehow wash off these memories of failure, memories of a weak me, times when I was not strong or courageous enough to be who I wanted to be, chances that I wasted and times that never should have been. If only there was a 'delete' button I would not haste.

But these were thoughts that streamed in my mind, in a time that I wanted to convince myself that life could be ever so perfect, in a time I wanted to be supernatural without blame or any sort of disappointment. Not until the day that I came to learn that no one is perfect, we all make mistakes at some point.

It is these very same scars that make me who I am today. I've come to know that they've been of more use to me than good old memories.

Tattoos strengthen us to push to the line, to have reason to believe a reason to face each day hopefully. The same tattoos bring out potential to push an individual to new limits, new heights, new pride, new threats and possibly the individual ends up pushing away the people closest to him or her. Then life becomes something else.

That is when scars come in, that at all times we are reminded of who we truly are.

Folks, scars don't hurt us, they just correct us, remind us of the roads we should not look forward to embarking on again. Scars tell one's history and possible future.

In life, not all comfort is good and not all hurt is meant for evil. Most of all, scars deprive us of excessive pride and life is best lived with limits.

Rebound

Rejection of a proposal does not mean total failure of an individual's venture.

Sometimes set-backs are meant to help us realise that we are going off track or too fast.

Most times people think "When I fail thats the end of my road."
But touching ground does not mean you can't get back up.

Inspite the fact we cannot rewind time does not mean we can not correct the mistakes made. How? You ask.

Simple, all you have to do is make sure the same mistake is not repeated again in the near futuer.

Life is a cycle, a repeatation of events in varioius ways. The same thing happens to us daily, but what matters and makes the difference is our attitude and approach to such events. The way you do a sum today will determine your ability to resolve a similar sum in the near future.

Can do attitude

Your attitude and approach to a situation determines your ability to
stay in control.

I have a friend named Dorcas. On one Sunday, after mass. She had to
read a banch of announcements in an African languge(kiswahili) after
which she made a speech that she hadn't written or prepared for.

Yes, she did make mistakes in her 'speech'. Mistakes to which the
audience roared to in laughter.

Dorcas knew she made mistakes and she also understood the fact that
she could not rewind time or undo her wrong.

So, she carried on making her mistakes feel like intentional fouls
then eventually jokes.

She maintained a positive attitude throughout the situation, in view
of more than 70 literate people.

The art of remaining confident in every situation gives us an
oppotunity to see beyond the box and have a view of what lies past our obstacles

Most of us become in-effective because we let the circumstance we are
in take charge other than ourselves.

A hyena can only attack a person thats shorter than its self.
When you encounter one, do not be frightened and yet your taller,
remain incharge.
Maintain your positive attitude.

Simplicity and great heights

To be successful simply be you.

Many are times we try to twist our styles of life to someone's because
of fame or simply imitation.
But in so doing you missout one major thing. A fact that you are
unique in your own manner.

The way you'd approach a project would not be the same way i would
have approached the same.

Don't follow the crowds. Some if not all the time people tend to
follow the crowds because of some sense of security, not knowing they
are forgetting and denying their own identity. Rejecting their own
creativity and identity.

Try it out today, make it a hobby to simply be you by not following
the crowds and numbers. Most of all be your own star, be your own
source of inspiration.

Oppotunites

In a game of poker, there is a time when players with raise bonds and
shake off the weak hearted ones. At this moment of time the players
raising the bonds seem to show off by betting amongst themselves. A
good player will always know when to pull out of a game, when to risk
it all and when to threaten the strong-handed. So when you venture
into another activity or even in your current activities. You need to
know when to sit, stand and walk away. Folks, good management is based
on the virtual of the fact that every activity has a cycle or rather a
limited life-span. This means in every activity, you only stand the
chance of topping for a limited time.

Use your weaknesses

Weaknesses should not be considered liabilities. Weaknesses are the
red line and the mark for our limits. In life at some point in time
you need to know how far to push, how much to demand, whats on deck to
trade and when to trade. In this way, you are well aware of which step
to take and how much is needed to complete the journey to a
successful venture. As a manager once a competitor shows an upper hand
in the field. I'd recommend a tactical backdown from taking the lead.
In this way you stand a chance of preparing for a powerful come-back
as well as a chance to find a weak spot in your competitors abilities
and strength. Its not losers that backdown and its not winners that
keep on pushing the whole way..... Go ahead give me a feedback! Next
we'll look at oppotunities in ventures.

Know your strengths

As a successful manager one of the essentials is to know your weapon
and how to strategically put it to use in the field during
competition. Know your strength. In this way, you know just when to
flood the market, how to create and control a climax of demand and
when to withdraw... Every manager has a unique technic of management
that looks perfectly unbeatable. BUT, the secret behind every strength
is a spot of weakness. Knowing your competitor's weakness helps you
develop a point of time in which to over take . Strengths are
important during come back situations. We will get a chance to see why
in the next post. Futhermore we'll look at Weaknesses and why they are
essential to both personal and public management... Please do give me
a feedback on how helpful this information is to your venture.

Pushing to the finishing line!

Usually every plan sounds like
a piece of cake on paper. But it later becomes no walk in the park.
This is because some ideas are in-practical and plans are built on
ideas like these. One of the main reasons why people tend to give up
on their plans is because they grow weary mid way their journey to
success. So as a manager or a leader, once you emberk on doing
something, ensure you know what you are walking into. Then stand your
ground and look forward to your activity being accomplished, to
detail as planned. Furthermore, as you plan, make sure you are well
aware of your strengths, weaknesses, oppotunities and threats. Lets
look at why this is essential on my next post... Till then!

How to get the best out of what you do!

Targets... As
a day dawns we come up with plans and ways on how we'll manage to pay
the bills and keep on surviving... Now, when you walk out of your
house you always tend to have a reason for doing so. That is what I
refere to as a goal. This is what fuels your movement; its what keeps
you going on, its a target. Targets are essential in planning because
they are the reason why we decide to keep on going even when we are in
favourable positions in life. Its like running a race. When the wistle
has been blown. Each of the runners has in mind an aim of getting to
their target first before anyother. It would be CRAZY for one to take
the lead of the race, then suddenly start walking because he'd led the
first half of the race. That is why targets are essential in planning,
they keep us going, keeping our minds set on attaining a specific goal
in a moment of time. Never settle for anything less than what you'd
planned. Make this your principle and give me a feedback, let me know
how it works for you...

HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF WHAT YOU DO!

HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF WHAT YOU DO!

Principles and Discipline...

Well, in this life principles are like voluntary cops with no uniform.
So they stand by junctions in life pointing us to the directions we planned to go,
toward our destinies and yet they have no power in them. Just like a
zebra-crossing near a highway.

The decisions we make daily determine the amount of success we achieve in our careers and life.

Now, the big question remains on what grounds do you stand to make your decisions?

Are you aware that Success does not come as a result of a one day
decision?

Yes, its a long term plan that involves taking of strategic
steps at a certain time in the progress of an activity. At the end of
the road stands our set destinies called targets.

Targets are as essential and voice-less as principles. They aid in our journey to
success. When you fail to attain your set target and disobey your very
own principles, its like driving a car with limited gas past your
destination.

Another step to attaining the best out of what you do...
Please do feel free to give me a feedback, via this blog on anything
you see of interest!

How to get the best out of what you do!

HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF WHAT YOU DO!

Charge against the wind...

It must all begin with your will and what
your heart wants to do. That is what you can achieve. Many at times
people say '...you must finish that which you start...' its easily
said than done.

Its less complicated to start an activity than to complete one.

A very important principle we so often ignore is that
'the finish is as important as the start!' As man, my marital status
calls for me to do my house chaos personally.

At times I decide to move my countable furniture from one room to another so I can do a
thorough clean of my home. But at some point in time, I get so
exhausted that I feel like I want to thorw in the towel before attaing
my objective of a good house clean.

That is when my displine to my principles are tested. Inspite of exhaustion, I carry on against my
own will. Why? Because its a worthy cause and an attainable objective.
This is a very simple principle that is capable of helping you reach
an un-imaginable level of success in life.

Try it for seven days, then feel free to give me a feedback via this blog. You can always leave a
comment and i will get back to you...
